Get to Know Dr. Michelle Ayoroa Perez
Originally from Potomac, MD, Dr. Perez has been working in the dental field for a few years and counting. Not only is she highly trained in various areas, but she’s also extremely passionate about helping people maintain good oral health and achieve a beautiful smile they can be proud of. Her love of connecting with others makes her the perfect fit for our practice, and she looks forward to helping our community. Read on to learn a little more about your trusted dentist.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
When she was a senior in high school, Dr. Perez started working as a dental assistant, which provided the opportunity to see the possibilities of a career in the field of dentistry. With her passion for making a positive change in people’s lives, her path was made clear. She went on to work as a dental assistant for nine years before heading to dental school. She’s also volunteered at multiple Mission of Mercy events that offer free dental care to underserved communities.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Perez first attended the University of Maryland College Park before studying and graduating from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Since then, she’s undergone the New York University Langone advanced education in general dentistry program on the eastern shore for a year, prioritizing public health and pregnant women. She’s also attended the Dawson and Triangle Dental Institute for various continuing education courses, including Invisalign, TMJ/TMD management, occlusion, implants, and anterior cosmetics.
Dr. Perez is committed to remaining up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry and is a member of multiple prestigious organizations, such as:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
At home, Dr. Perez spends much of her time with her immediate family who live in Potomac. Together, they enjoy traveling to different places whenever she has the time. She also enjoys water sports, Pilates, and hanging out with her dog named Lucky. A fun fact about her: she’s traveled to 25 countries and speaks fluent Spanish!
